Three of the most prolific offensive players in the area made their intentions official Wednesday morning at Charlotte High School.

Running back Elijah Mack (University of South Florida), wide receiver Stantley Thomas (Florida International University) and quarterback Brennan Simms (Missouri Science and Technology) signed and faxed their forms to their specific institutions.

Mack will bring a double Mack attack to the Bulls, joining former Booker High running back Marlon Mack, who has established himself as the main runner in Coach Willie Taggart’s offense.

“I know him a little bit,” Elijah said of Marlon. “From the beginning I pretty much knew where I wanted to go.”

Mack made his only official visit to the Bulls’ campus in Tampa, but also attended the University of Florida spring game on an unofficial visit.

“USF told me they were only taking one running back, so I jumped at that,” said Mack, who had 12 other offers from places such as Arizona, Indiana, UCF, East Carolina. “I had a couple good offers, but stuck with USF the whole way.”

Mack rushed for 1,280 yards, including six 100-yard games, and 23 touchdowns. He also caught seven passes for 94 yards and two scores. Continue Reading by Clicking Here

  1. Love the videos! Looking forward to this season! Hoping for a big win early in the season against FSU

  2. I will say though, Marlon Mack is special. When I first watched his highlights at Sarasota Booker after he decommitted from UCLA I was literally blown away. My wife was beyond annoyed with me because I simply could not believe a running back that talented was coming to USF. Marlon Mack will go as least by the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft in my opinion. I dug in to how it all happened, turned out that former USF defensive back Johnnie Jones (2001-2005) was the Head Coach at Booker… inside job that I will take any day. The rest is history. Marlon Mack’s first game I was fortunate enough to watch from the press box, he blew my mind. As a true Freshman in his first college game he broke off four touchdowns (62, 60, 56 & 2 yards), and tied the USF single-game rushing record with 275 yards on the ground. Amazing.

True story: I was up in the press box with Jeff Odom,Collin Sherwin, Josh Appel, and Joey Knight when I came up with #MackAttack… Everyone kept going to ‘Return of the Mack’. The nickname stuck.
