The Bulls got back in the win column by beating Houston 2 to 1 on Sunday afternoon. USF is now 9-1 (1-1) on the season.

In the first half, the Bulls went up 1 to 0 on a goal from Evelyne Viens in the 5th minute, her 10th of the season. In the 14th minute, Viens did it again, putting USF ahead 2 to 0 on her 11th goal of the season (assist from Yasmine Hall). The Bulls went into the half leading in total shot attempts at 12 to 4, as they dominated the pace of the game and consistently put pressure on the Cougars defense.

In the second half, the Cougars would get a goal in the 55th minute from Vanessa Almaguer, her second of the year, on a penalty kick to make it 2 to 1. The Bulls would control the pace for the rest of the game and got the key conference victory. USF dominated the total shot attempts at 18 to 5 while Kat Elliott made 2 saves for the Bulls. Nicole Young made 6 saves for Houston as she faced constant pressure from the offensive attack of the Bulls.

The Bulls will host Central Florida on Friday night (game begins at 7 PM) as they look to make it two in a row in conference action.
