USF Men's Soccer No. 10 Lindo Mfeka (3881x2200)

USF won 2 to 0 over Tulsa on Thursday night to improve their overall record to 5-5-2 (2-1) on the season.

In the first half, the Bulls dominated. In the 10th minute, the Bulls went ahead 1 to 0 on a goal from Nazeem Bartman (assist from Melvin Becket and Prosper Figbe). In the 37th minute, Becket added his own goal, his first of the season, (assist from Figbe again) to put USF ahead 2 to 0 at the half. The Bulls led the total shot battle at 7 to 4 as both sides battled the rainy conditions.

In the second half, the Bulls battled a tough comeback attempt from the Hurricanes, but the Bulls were able to keep them off the board. Tulsa ended the game with 17 shot attempts compared to just 11 for USF, but they could not get a goal through despite having several looks throughout the second half. Spasoje Stefanovic made 5 saves in the game, coming up big for the Bulls in the net.

The Bulls will travel to face FGCU on Tuesday night (game begins at 7 PM). Hopefully the Bulls will carry this momentum on the road against an in-state opponent.
