USF fell 3 to 2 to 12th ranked FGCU on Monday night, dropping their overall record to 5-6-2 (2-1) on the season.

In the first half the Bulls would go up 1 to 0 on a goal from Lindo Mfeka (third of the year) in the 27th minute to put USF ahead early. The two sides were tied at 5 shot attempts a piece as the Bulls battled it out with the tough FGCU squad on the road.

In the 2nd half, FGCU got it rolling. In the 66th minute Eli Roubos struck to make it 1 to 1. Just a minute later Nicolas Samayoa made it 2 to 1 as FGCU took control. In the 69th minute it was 3 to 1 as Shak Adams got one across, putting USF down even further. In the 71st minute, Melvin Becket hit a goal, his second of the year (assist to Ricardo Gomez), to make it 3 to 2, but that would be it for the USF offense. USF would have 9 shot attempts in the game, but FGCU would total 14 as they dominated the attack in the second half.

Spasoje Stefanovic had 3 saves in the game for the Bulls. Sawyer Jackmon made 3 saves for FGCU.

The Bulls will travel to Uconn on Saturday evening (game begins at 7 PM) as they attempt to get back in the win column.
