USF fell 3 to 1 to Uconn on the road on Sunday afternoon. The loss puts USF at 10-2-1 (2-2-1) on the season as the Huskies’ offense proved to be too much.

In the first half, the Huskies jumped out to a 1 to 0 lead on a goal from Stephanie Ribeiro. She would strike again in the 35th minute to make it 2 to 0 heading into the break. The Huskies dominated the pace of the first half, leading 14 to 3 in shot attempts.

In the second half, Uconn made it 3 to 0 on a goal from Rachel Hill in the 60th minute. In the 71st minute, Gudrun Sigurdardottir finally put USF on the board with a goal (assist from Andrea Hauksdottir) but that would be all the Bulls could muster in this game. The Bulls lost the overall shot battle at 14 to 16. Kat Elliott made 2 saves in net while Emily Armstrong made 4 saves for the Huskies.

USF will host ECU on Thursday night (game begins at 7 PM) at Corbett Stadium. Time to move on from this one, regroup and get back in the win column in front of the home crowd.
