No. 11 Dakota Hampton USF Volleyball (2000x1160)

USF split its two weekend matches after falling to SMU and then beating Tulsa. The Bulls are now 15-7 (6-4) on the season.

On Friday, the Bulls fell in 4 sets to the Mustangs, hitting just .140 compared to .220 against the AAC division leaders. Clara Payne had 2 digs and 2 block assists. Dakota Hampton had just 4 kills and 7 digs. T’ara Austin had 7 kills to begin her big weekend.

Elyse Panick had 9 digs. Alex Mendoza had 39 assists and 13 digs. Joli Holland the best game at the net with 12 kills and a block assist. Lauren Mills had 19 kills and 14 digs to pace the Mustangs on their side.

On Sunday, the Bulls won in four sets over Tulsa. Payne had 12 kills, 4 digs, and 4 block assists. Hannah Smith had 10 kills, 2 digs, and 5 block assists. Hampton had no kills in this match, which is odd, while adding 4 digs.

Panick had 9 kills, 10 digs and 5 block assists. Austin had the biggest game with 18 kills and 9 digs. Mendoza had 47 assists (insane) and added 13 digs. Amy Van Sant added 4 assists and 17 digs.

The Bulls will continue the home stand as they host ECU on Thursday afternoon at 7 PM in a very important game in the conference standings.
