USF men’s soccer clinched the AAC regular season title last night with a 1 to 0 win over SMU in double overtime. It was a tough fight, but the Bulls can hoist the regular season trophy proudly.

The two sides would battle to a stalemate after regular time and would go scoreless through the first overtime period. In the 2nd overtime period, the Bulls wasted little time to end the match.

In the 103rd minute, Liam McNally hit his first goal of the season (from three yards out) to give the Bulls the golden goal victory! It was a huge moment and a perfect time for McNally to notch that first goal.

for the game the Bulls were out-shot 11 to 12, but that little stat doesn’t matter too much. Spasoje Stefanovic made three saves to preserve the shut-out on the other end for the Bulls.

The Bulls will host Temple on November 5th in the regular season finale at Corbett (game begins at 7 PM) before hosting the AAC tournament the week after. One more game before the post-season work really begins. On to the next one!
