USF lost another game in this I-4 rivalry, falling in three straight sets (21 to 25, 20 to 25, and 24 to 26) to Central Florida. The loss puts USF at 16-9 (7-6) on the season.

Central Florida hit .281 for the match compared to a .220 mark for the Bulls. USF showed some life in the third set and I thought the Bulls would extend the match to at least a 4th set, but Central Florida took the third away late.

Denise Belcher led the Bulls with 10 kills (.179 hitting percentage) with 3 digs. Dakota Hampton had 7 kills and 3 digs while Elyse Panick had 8 kills, 3 digs, and 3 blocks. T’ara Austin had 6 kills and 3 digs. Alex Mendoza led the Bulls with 34 assists and 8 digs while Amy Van Sant added 6 assists and 17 digs.

Jale Hervey had 19 kills (.333 hitting percentage) and 17 digs. Once again Hervey dominated and USF had no answer for her.

USF will head to Memphis on Friday night (game begins at 8 PM) as the Bulls try to bounce back after this game. This one stunk, but time to regroup and get back after it. On to the next!
