USF fell in 5 sets (25 to 27, 22 to 25, 25 to 20, 25 to 15, and 8 to 15) in a tough road match at Tulsa. The loss puts the Bulls at 16-11 (7-8) on the season after a really close match where the Bulls rallied only to come up short at the end.

USF had a .266 hitting percentage compared to a .240 mark overall for Tulsa. USF rallied from two set deficit, but just couldn’t come away with the road win.

Clara Payne led the way for the Bulls with 14 kills, 5 digs, and 10 blocks. Joli Holland had 14 kills and 4 blocks and T’ara Austin added 16 kills, 18 digs, and 3 blocks. Elyse Panick had 12 kills, 14 digs, and 6 blocks. Denise Belcher added 7 kills and 2 digs.

Alex Mendoza had 3 kills, 55 assists, 13 digs and 3 blocks in a huge game. Amy Van Sant had 5 assists and 21 digs to round out the top USF performers. Rebecca Reeve had 23 kills and 12 digs to lead the Tulsa squad.

The Bulls will continue their road trip as they head to Texas to take on SMU (game begins at 2 PM) on Saturday afternoon. Time to bounce back and get back in the win column.
