Matthew Manuri
I’m Matthew Manuri, owner and founder of SoFloBulls.com (Articles). I was born and raised in Naples, FL, then attended the University of South Florida (USF), Class of 2009. I was a very active member of Florida Iota Sigma Phi Epsilon ### and my day grind is Fortune 500 accounting. I’ve previously written for Bulls247 (CBS Sports), USF Rivals (Yahoo Sports), Scout (CBS Sports), and TheDailyStampede/VoodooFive (SB Nation).
After writing for others and building other brands, I decided to run my own show. We added photographer Dennis Akers to expand our portfolio with the best USF photos in the game, and brought on several new faces including interns to add in-depth analysis and coverage. Dennis Akers
Dennis Akers joined SoFloBulls.com prior to the 2016 USF Football season as our first staff photographer and has been cornering the USF photo game ever since.
Dennis was raised in Tampa, FL, a Plant High School alum, then attended the University of South Florida (USF) with Matt Manuri and were in the same fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon. David Gold
A 2016 Graduate of West Hernando Christian School and 2018 2nd year graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and is now an electrician apprentice where he works on job sites throughout the Tampa Bay region. While at WOL David picked up photography during his second year and the rest is history.
David joined SoFloBulls during the winter of 2019 and will be shooting Football games amongst other USF events. He continued to teach himself photography and sharing his pictures on Instagram which continued growing at an exponential rate. Simultaneously he started his freelance photography business where he collaborates with several Christian rap artists. Mike Cusimano
Mike is a ‘Bay Made’ Bull from East Lake, FL who graduated from THE University of South Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from our beloved Muma College of Business. Four and a half tough years later, Mike took his talents to Orlando (sorry Bulls fans) to pursue a leadership role in the theme park industry. Despite the change in geography, his passion for USF Football has never wavered, especially his passion covering the recruiting/player personnel side of the sport.
Mike joined SoFloBulls in the summer of 2019 and has been dropping recruiting knowledge ever since. (Articles) His knowledge of the game comes from years of playing and coaching football at the high school level, with a brief stint as a student equipment manager for USF Football during his undergrad. Recruiting is the lifeblood of every college football team in America, so expect recruiting news, player and roster evaluations, and much more from Mike very soon! Josh Katz
Josh joined the SoFloBulls team as an Intern in the Spring of 2020 (Articles). A current student at USF, Josh is a very active member of the Psi Phi chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. After earning his Bachelor’s in Communications in 2022, he intends to pursue a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication.
Originally from Coral Springs, Florida, Josh grew up as a South Florida Bulls fan and is now a 2nd Generation USF Bull. When he isn’t studying for tests, planning fraternity events, or writing for SoFloBulls, Josh can be found watching and cheering for the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, or Miami Marlins. Dan Kalenga
Dan joined the SoFloBulls team as a Graphic Design Intern in the Fall of 2018. A current student at USF, Dan is a very active member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After completing his undergraduate degree in Economics this Fall, he intends to head off to law school.
Originally from Chicago, Dan found a passion for graphic design at the early age of 11 years old. When he isn’t spending time with his fraternity brothers or hitting the books, Dan enjoys playing basketball and football.

Walker Ford
Walker joined the SoFloBulls team in the summer of 2019. Walker was an undergrad at the University of South Florida, and a proud member of Bulls Country and a leader in the Florida Iota chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. As he approached graduation as part of the fall 2020 class, he decided to spend his last semester doing what he loves, covering USF athletics.
Walker majored in Mass Communication with an emphasis in sports broadcasting, and got his feet wet as an intern for the Tampa Tarpons conducting locker room interviews and writing player articles. In 2018, Walker became a member of the broadcast team for the USF Ice Bulls, where he continued to learn the trade and found another avenue to amplify his USF pride.
A Colorado native, Walker is a devout Denver professional sports fan. This is where he found his love for the game of football watching Denver Bronco games with his family. An exuberance for all things sports contributes to his knowledge and passion for USF football. He looks forward to seeing Bulls Country grow in the Bay… and beyond! Will Turner
A 2017 graduate of Riverview High School, Will Turner currently attends the University of South Florida pursuing a degree in mass communications, with a focus in news & editorial journalism, and a minor in history. Will joined SoFloBulls.com prior to the 2018 USF Football season, taking photos and writing articles amongst other creative work as our first ever current student intern.
Will was born and raised in Tampa, Fla., and has covered Tampa Bay high school sports since 2016. Will started as a reporter for the Riverview High School Shark Encounter newspaper, where he would be appointed to sports editor in 2015. Will contributed to Big County Preps for over a year.
A self-taught photographer, Will began the art in 2016, where he took photos for FLRunners.com throughout the 2017 high school track & field season. Will joined the FloridaHSFootball.com team for the 2017 football season, contributing with photos and articles. Most recently, Will partnered with Jarrett Guthrie to run 813Preps.com during the 2018 baseball season.
