Welcome to our series chronicling the 2024 USF Recruiting Class! This series will breakdown every single recruit that signed to become a part of Head Coach Alex Golesh’s first full recruiting class. (Having a full year to put a class together.) Help us welcome S Jermaine Dalias to the Bulls!
S Jermaine Dalias (American Heritage – Coconut Creek, FL)
Committed to the Bulls on October 15th, Dalias is one of two safeties to commit to the 2024 class via scholarship. Via Rivals.com, Dalias received offers from Miami, Akron, Middle Tennessee State, Ohio, UAB and more during his recruitment.
According to MaxPreps.com, Dalias finished his senior season with 65 total tackles, 3 tackles for a loss and one interception on the year for American Heritage.
Run the Tape:
Impressive closing speed to the ball whether it’s the run or pass. Physical safety who is not afraid to assist against the run. Possesses the size to be a factor in coverage and shouldn’t be limited to defending against the run.
Mike’s Take:
Dalias is a jack-of-all-trades at the safety position which is something you love to see in defensive backs coming from the high school level. I envision him in a role similar to Jaelen Stokes over the past year where he is utilized all over the defense with his biggest impact coming from stopping the run and blitzing the QB. However, this isn’t to say that Dalias can’t be a ballhawk either as his size, athleticism and coverage ability as a two deep (or single high safety) is apparent in his game film. Whether Dalias is slotted at free safety or strong safety, he’s set to make an impact on this defense at one point or another. Welcome to the Bulls Jermaine!
