Welcome to our series chronicling the 2025 USF Recruiting Class! This series will breakdown every single recruit that has signed to become a part of Head Coach Alex Golesh’s second recruiting class. Let’s welcome OG Gerrick Gordon to the Bulls!
OG Gerrick Gordon (Carrollwood Day – Tampa, FL)
Committed to the Bulls on December 4th, Gordon is one of five offensive linemen to commit to the 2025 class. Via Rivals.com, Gordon received offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Purdue, Miami and more during his recruitment. Gordon was previously committed to Rutgers since June 9th before flipping to USF on National Signing Day.
Run the Tape:
Moves well for his size and has demonstrated the ability to play inside or outside on the offensive line. Good technique overall and understands how to use his big frame to shield off defenders. Sound footwork whether in pass protection or working up the field as a run blocker. Very active with his hands as a blocker who looks comfortable making space between him and a defender in pass protection.
Mike’s Take:
High school offensive lineman that can display the ability to play either inside or outside on the line is usually a good sign that a player can develop into a contributor at the next level due to the position flexibility that they can offer a program. However, there is a reason that Gordon was highly recruited out of Carrollwood Day with multiple Power 4 offers under his belt. There is always a learning curve at the next level, especially when it comes to the trenches (on either side of the ball), but Gordon demonstrates the technique and talent to play early. Welcome to the Bulls Gerrick!
