When Willie Taggart talks about winning, he has the football credentials to back it up. Simply put, he has winning in his DNA.
As a junior at Manatee High School, he helped win the 5A state championship. As a senior he earned first team all-state and all-conference honors. In college, he revived a Western Kentucky program that was in danger of being permanently abandoned by the school. As the Hilltoppers’ head coach, he helped lead the school to a championship caliber program.
Now, he’s trying to do the same with the USF Bulls. In order to inject a winning mentality to his new team, he took them back to where the winning all began for him – Manatee High School.
“Not to be cocky or anything but we couldn’t try to lose,” said former Manatee standout Derrick Calloway. “It’s just the way we walk around. We have to win. We have no other way.” Continue Reading by Clicking Here
