With great excitement, we bring you volume four of our ‘SoFloBulls.com USF Football Highlights Series‘ USF secondary assassin battles to separate himself from the rest of the talent laden #FlightSquad wide receiver group in the final week of spring football 2017. #McOcho, aka South Florida WR Tyre McCants (@T_McCants8), is currently busy in the heat of spring game preparations under first year head coach Charlie Strong. McCants is eyeing a breakout 2017 campaign with Quinton Flowers back under center and an even faster offensive scheme under new OC Sterlin Gilbert.
Our ‘#McOcho South Florida WR Tyre McCants Highlights 2016’ is’ jammed packed with McCants’ most explosive, all-hands team plays from 2016. Speaking of the historic 2016 USF Football season, McCants hauled in 25 passes for 384 yards (15.4 yds./rec.) and punched in four touchdowns during the Bulls illustrious 11-2 run. McCants also returned his lone shot as a kick returner 17 yards. The Niceville all-around star and 2013 Daily News Large School Player of the Year pulled down seven receptions for 164 yards (23.4 yds./rec.), scored two touchdowns, and posted 43 kick return yards on just two attempts in 2015.
McCants finished his final season at Niceville High School with 1,889 total yards and 18 touchdowns. Broken down, McCants rushed for 535 yards and eight touchdowns, added 55 receptions for 798 yards and eight more scores, and posted 556 kick return yards on 14 attempts. McCants’ massive senior year averages out to 40 yards per touch. Yes, 40 yards every single time McCants touched the rock.
