Browse  our exclusive UCF vs. South Florida 2018 photo album that’s drenched in Thanksgiving gravy. The Bulls fell for the fifth consecutive time in 2018 last Friday afternoon in what became the McKenzie Milton prayer vigil following a nasty ACL injury on the sideline. The Bulls simply could not muster anything offensively going three and out during the final four drives. USF fell to the No. 9 Oviedo State College Knights 38-10 on ESPN. Regardless, Will Turner put together a terrific article and we bagged a ton of fire photos that we’ll continue to drop… so keep it locked! (ESPN Article)
Some Superlatives via USF:
Friday’s attendance of 57,626 for the 10th playing of the War on I-4 marked the second-largest crowd in the game’s history. The largest was a crowd of 65,948 that witnessed No. 5 ranked USF down UCF, 64-12, in Raymond James Stadium in 2007 (the Bulls would ascend to the No. 2 ranking the following week). A crowd of 47,129 (third largest) witnessed the game last year in Orlando.
Prior to kickoff, USF honored 18 seniors that have been a part of the most successful era in program history, including a record 36 wins in the past four seasons. The 18 seniors honored were: WR Ryeshene Bronson, WR LaDarion McBride, OL Eric Mayes, WR Tyre McCants, TE Riley Sheehan, RB Davion Sutton, K Jake Vivonetto, DB Chris Barr, DT Kevin Bronson, DE Josh Black, DE Juwuan Brown, LB Jeffery Farrar, DE Derek Hintze, DB Ronnie Hoggins, DE Vincent Jackson, LB Khalid McGee, S Jaymon Thomas and DB Mazzi Wilkins.
TE Mitchell Wilcox finished with five receptions for 38 yards. Wilcox has 69 career receptions and needs six more to match the USF record of 75 set by Sean Price (2012-15). Wilcox already owns program tight end records for career receiving yards (942), season receiving yards (506, this season) and receptions in a season (40, this season).
WR Tyre McCants finished with two catches for 8 yards. McCants has 58 receptions this season and he’s nine away from the program season record of 67 set by Rodney Adams in 2016. McCants has 126 career receptions (fourth all-time at USF) and he’s five away from third place (Hugh Smith, 131, 1999-2002).
Totaling a game-high 13 tackles, senior LB Khalid McGee became the 15th player in program history to post 100 tackles in a season. McGee now has 104 tackles and he’s 17 away from Tyrone McKenzie’s school record 121 stops in 2007.
USF finished the regular season  7-5 (3-5) as the Bulls await to find out there bowl game destination and foe.
“We’ve got to recruit big players, we’ve got to recruit players that can come in the program that have a chance to really help us,” Strong said. “You have to recruit speed.”
