#BlackLivesMatter A Message of Hope

The time for change is now! On behalf of the SoFloBulls Team, here is our statement on racial injustice.

Dear USF Nation,

We have been at a loss for words since the tragic murder of George Floyd.

Our SoFlo team is comprised of mostly white males. We are a small outfit. We cannot even begin to know what it’s like to be Black in America. We didn’t want to teach or preach before we took time to listen, understand and learn. Our passion is USF Athletics. This is much bigger than any one school, city, or country. #BlackLivesMatter

The Black community has sought for CHANGE for way too long. They have fought for JUSTICE and EQUALITY for far too long. In our hearts we knew it was necessary to share a message of solidarity as many of our friends and members of the Black community are hurting and fighting for justice.

It’s time to speak up in one unified voice against oppression and racism.

On behalf of all of us here at SoFloBulls, we stand with you. All lives don’t matter until we as a nation agree that Black Lives Matter.

As the owner, I will kneel during the National Anthem during every USF home game this season, whether I’m able to attend in-person, or not. I invite all of you to join me. I will also make an annual donation to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and I encourage all of you to contribute what you can.

Find your platform, be the change.

As always, Go Bulls!
