As the saying goes, when it rains it pours! Covering the recent additions to the 2021 recruiting class, without further ado let’s get after it!

#TNSF Welcomes OL Andrew Kilfoyl to the Class!

Straight from “The Bay” himself, Gaither HS OL Andrew Kilfoyl announced his commitment to the Bulls on August 5th via Twitter, becoming the first OL commit to the 2021 class thus far. According to 247Sports, Kilfoyl is ranked as the 156th offensive tackle in the country, holding offers from Western Kentucky, Liberty, Eastern Michigan, Air Force, and Bowling Green to name a few.

Mike’s TakeIt was only a matter of time before the Bulls landed an offensive lineman to the 2021 class. After watching the film, I love Kilfoyl’s game and I believe that he can only improve at offensive tackle from here, regardless on what the high school season looks like due to COVID-19.

#TNSF Welcomes DT Jhalin Hobbs to the Class!

Keeping up with the theme of Bay Area recruits, Lennard HS DT Jhalin Hobbs announced his commitment to the Bulls on August 8th, making it five Bay Area recruits committed to the USF 2021 class thus far. Ranked as the 90th defensive tackle in the country, Hobbs holds offers from Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Toledo, Troy, and Colorado State to name a few.

Mike’s TakeStanding at 6-2, 280 LBs, the biggest thing that stood out to me with Jhalin’s film is his athleticism and use of hands when deflecting blocks from the offensive lineman in front of him. These are traits that you LOVE to see from a defensive lineman and this should only help Hobbs’ game at the next level.

#TNSF Welcomes DT Jacquez Williams to the Class!

From two defensive lineman committed to four in a matter of days, Jenkins HS (Savannah, GA) DT Jacquez Williams announced his commitment to the Bulls on August 11th via Twitter, becoming the first out-of-state commit for the Bulls in the 2021 class thus far. Currently unranked by 247Sports, Williams holds offers from Army, Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee State, Navy, and Troy to name a few.

Mike’s Take: As I said in the introduction, when it rains it pours. The defensive line now has four commits in total, leading me to believe that this may wrap up the position recruiting-wise until next year. I love how the staff has filled in the holes at the positions that they needed depth at and if Williams is the cherry on top for the DL spot, I’m all in. Williams is DISRUPTIVE on the DL, constantly living in the opponent’s backfield in the film below. Similar to Hobbs (and even Kilfoyl at OT), I’m really excited to see how these guys develop in the next few years.

#TNSF Welcomes OG Drew Cornelius to the Class!

You knew it was coming. As the second offensive lineman addition to the 2021 class, Heard County HS (Franklin, GA) OG Drew Cornelius committed to the Bulls on August 25th via Twitter. Currently unranked by 247Sports, Cornelius holds offers from Air Force, Army, South Alabama, Samford, and Eastern Illinois to name a few.

Mike’s Take: Just off of size alone, Cornelius is someone that the staff will throw weight on once he reaches the next level. Other than that, Drew’s motor and relentless efforts stands out at the position as one of those offensive linemen that just LOVES finishing off blocks. The tools are there for Cornelius to be successful at the college level, it’ll just be a matter of time for the lineman out of Georgia in my opinion.

#TNSF Welcomes WR Cardrece Mobley to the Class!

Another commit from the Bay, Clearwater HS (Clearwater, FL) WR Cardrece Mobley announced his commitment to the Bulls on August 26th, becoming the second WR to commit to the class thus far. Currently unranked by 247Sports, Mobley holds offers from Indiana, Boston College, Iowa State, Wake Forest, and  Toledo to name a few.

Mike’s TakeAt 6-4, 190 LBs, Mobley is exactly who this coaching staff is looking for at wide receiver. Mobley’s ability to win against 1 v. 1 matchups down the field sticks out on film along with his ability to catch in traffic on short to intermediate routes. As we start to get to the final handful of guys added to the class, I would expect one more WR commit when it’s all said and done with Mobley and Nickolas Tshivuadi being two great pieces to the position so far.

#TNSF Welcomes OT Cole Best to the Class!

Take a look at this: Three offensive lineman have committed to the 2021 class in the month of August alone. OT Cole Best out of Trinity Prep (Winter Park, FL) committed to the Bulls on August 28th via Twitter, becoming the 19th commit to the #Stampede21 class thus far. Currently unraked by Rivals, Best holds offers from Western Kentucky, Wofford, Samford, Charleston Southern, and Gardner-Webb.

Mike’s TakeThe athletic big man out of Winter Park joins the 2021 class as the third offensive lineman added at this point in the recruiting process. A common theme that you’re starting to see with the offensive lineman that the staff are going after are athletic offensive lineman whose motor and effort stand out throughout their tape. Best follows a similar mold as someone who consistently finishes out blocks in the Hudl film below. With the class starting to fill up even more, the staff may add one more offensive lineman when it’s all said and done, but this could also be the end of the road for the position until next class.
