The tournament will take place starting on Thursday, May 11. USF enters the conference tournament as the No.3 seed and will face the No. 6 seed East Carolina Pirates on Thursday at 5 pm Eastern time. USF finished third overall in the conference standings for 2023. Wichita State won the AAC regular-season title with an overall record of 43-9 and 16-2 in conference games. UCF finished second at 15-3 in conference and 36-19 overall.

Heading into the tournament, having home field advantage will certainly benefit South Florida. The Bulls went 9-0 at home during the regular season against conference opponents. Bulls pitcher Payton Dixon led the AAC with a 1.43 ERA to go along with a 14-3 record in the circle in 98 innings pitched this season. If USF defeats East Carolina, the Bulls would advance to face the winner of the UCS vs Memphis game on Friday. USF did sweep East Carolina in Tampa during the regular season. The 2023 AAC Softball Tournament Championship game is slated for 11 am Eastern time on Saturday, May 13.
