Welcome to our series chronicling the 2024 USF Recruiting Class! This series will breakdown every single recruit that has signed to become a part of Head Coach Alex Golesh’s first full recruiting class. (Having a full year to put a class together.) Help us welcome DL Chenellson Exume to the Bulls!
DL Chenellson Exume (Edison – Miami, FL)
Committed to the Bulls on September 29th, Exume was one of six defensive linemen to commit to the 2024 class. Via Rivals.com, Exume received offers from Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh and more during his recruitment. Chenellson’s brother Dinellson also joined the Bulls in the 2024 recruiting class as a defensive end.
Run the Tape:
Aggressive at the point of attack. Quick hands who will benefit at the next level moving to defensive line in firing his hands quickly to prevent offensive linemen in getting their hands on him first. Moves well for his size and will not be just another big body on the defensive line. Impressive motor/effort on each play. Upper body strength is noticeable with the potential to be even more impactful using his lower body more frequently.
Mike’s Take:
I must say, Chenellson’s high school offensive line film is impressive as there is a reason why the Edison HS product racked up the offers that he did. However, I’m excited about his potential on the defensive line as there are traits that Exume possesses that will bode well for him at the next level. If he maintains the same level of aggressiveness and all-out motor that he shows on film (packaged with the tools/techniques to play the position), Exume will be someone to keep an eye on as he develops over the next year or so. Welcome to the Bulls Chenellson!
