USF Class of 2024 Chronicle: WR Arkese Parks

Good luck covering this Tampa product in the Green and Gold...

Welcome to our series chronicling the 2024 USF Recruiting Class! This series will breakdown every single recruit that signed to become a part of Head Coach Alex Golesh’s first full recruiting class. (Having a full year to put a class together.) Help us welcome WR Arkese Parks to the Bulls!

WR Arkese Parks (Robinson – Tampa, FL)

Committed to the Bulls on December 18th, Parks is one of three wide receivers committed to the 2024 class (as it stands now). Via Rivals.com, Parks received offers from Arizona, Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida State and more during his recruitment.

Run the Tape:

YAC ’em up. Yards After Catch receiver who can be utilized in a multitude of ways on offense having experience in the backfield as well. Accelerates off the line of scrimmage and will be a problem at the next level when defensive backs don’t press him and decide to play back. Heads to the next level having a wealth of experience at the wide receiver position and was not held back in the route tree due to inability and/or lack of experience. Possesses second gear when coming out of breaks in his routes who separates easily from defenders.

Mike’s Take:

Whenever you put the “versatile” label on a player (whether it’s offense or defense), one is led to believe that they are good at two things but not great at one or the other. Parks can be utilized out of the backfield and possesses some traits that you look for at running back, but he shines as a receiver no matter whether he lines up inside or outside. Because of this, Arkese has the opportunity to make an impact in the wide receiver room quickly, possessing traits at the position that bodes well for a WR group looking for guys who can consistently separate from defenders. Welcome to the Bulls Arkese!
