” Tajee Fullwood (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Bay Tech) is staying home to play for Willie Taggart.
The new USF head coach has indicated he wants to keep local prospects home. The last coach, Skip Holtz, said many of the same things, but Taggart has had more success, including Fullwood’s announcement at his home on Wednesday.
At one time, Fullwood had offers from Arizona, Cincinnati, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Marshall, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCF and Vanderbilt.
He becomes the sixth commitment from the Tampa Bay area, out of 10 total, to choose the Bulls for the Class of 2014. Only one prospect, Bruno Reagan (Clarksville, Tenn./Clarksville), hails from out of state.”
