Charpie became the sixth Bulls’ defender to be drafted in the past five years, joining Ben Sweat (2014), Brenton Griffiths (2013), Ashani Fairclough (2013), Aubrey Perry (2012) and Javed Mohammed (2011).
The Tarpon Springs, Fla., native was a mainstay in the USF starting 11 since his freshman season, starting all 81 games during that span.
