USF, Willie Taggart Calling ALL Fans in 2016 SoFloBulls.com (1000x667) Willie Taggart is the type of person who will smile, say something, and mean it.

So when the head coach of the USF Bulls stood before a crowd at Top Golf in Brandon and said “I need all of you to become part of ‘Willie Taggart’s Crew‘ of deputized season ticket holders” he means it.

Coach Taggart is entering his fourth season at USF and is coming off a 2015 campaign that saw the Bulls go to the program’s first bowl game since 2010. USF (8-5 in 2015) returns junior quarterback Quinton Flowers and junior running back Marlon Mack helped orchestrate a record-setting offense that produced over 5,700 yards.

“Quinton Flowers is our quarterback. Period.”said Taggart.

Now Taggart turned his attention to fans as he looks to increase the attendance at Raymond James Stadium this fall.

“I need you to get 5 new season ticket holders and get them to Ray Jay for every home game this fall,” exclaimed Taggart to the USF faithful. “My first two years all people talked about was how much we sucked. They are not talking about that anymore. Now, it’s about the potential of this team going forward.”

USF has struggled in recent years when it comes to home attendance. Here is the last 4 seasons:

2012: 44,128

2013: 34,702

2014: 19,317

2015: 26,578

Taggart spoke and took questions as fans wanted to know things like the weakest part of the team (his answer was the offensive line) to the biggest strengths (every skills position player). There was also the question about the Big 12 no longer looking into USF being thought as a potential expansion member.

“We are in a good league. We can win our league. When you are good, then others will want you.”
