USF split their weekend series of games, beating ECU on Thursday night and tying Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon on Senior day. The Bulls now stand at 11-2-2 (3-2-2) with just two regular season games remaining.

On Thursday night, the Bulls beat ECU 2 to 1 in overtime. In the 31st minute of that game, the Pirates would go ahead 1 to 0 on a goal from Marianna Shurina. In the 27th minute, USF would tie the game on a goal from Andrea Hauksdottir (assist from Leticia Skeete and Evelyne Viens), which was her 4th of the season, to tie the game up. The two sides would go into over time when Grace Adams, for the 2nd time this year, won it with her 2nd goal in the 97th minute to give the Bulls the dramatic victory.

USF lost the overall shot battle at 11 to 17, but they still came away with that Golden goal at the end. Kat Elliott had 4 saves while ECU’s Caroline Jeffers made 5 saves against the Bulls.

On Sunday afternoon, the Bulls battled Cincinnati to a 2 to 2 draw to round out the home portion of the schedule.

In the 17th minute, the Bearcats would jump out to a 1 to 0 lead on a goal from Vanessa Gilles. In the 18th minute Evelyene Viens would answer with her 18th goal of the season to tie it up heading into the half. In the 78th minute, Viens (as always) did it again, with her 13th goal of the game to make it 2 to 1. It the 89th minute, with time running out, the Bearcats were able to tie it on a goal from Jaycie Brown. The two sides would go scoreless in overtime on a frustrating end to the home portion of the regular season.

Kat Elliott made 5 saves in the game for the Bulls while Natalie Smith made 4 saves for the Bearcats.

The Bulls will play the last two regular season games on the road starting on Thursday night at 8 PM at Memphis. On to the next!
