PROVO, SEP. 25, 2021 – I’m fired up to drop our second South Florida Bulls Football (2-6,1-3) photo album of 2021 from the Bulls’ 35-27 loss at the hands of the then No. 15 BYU Cougars in front of the 63,470 crowd at LaVell Edwards Stadium. The roaring crowd made for one hell of a gameday environment, and we had our photographer David Gold there to capture all the action.
After being outscored by the Cougars 28-6 in the first half, the Bulls made it a game in the second half. USF punched it in for seven three times in the final two quarters, outpacing BYU 21-7 and narrowing a once 22-point deficit to just eight.
USF Running Back Jaren Mangham punched it in for six twice against the fifteenth ranked Cougars, pushing his 2021 touchdown total to seven. Mangham has really made the most of his time in Tampa thus far, and has been a real spark plug when the Bulls need it the most.
Defensive Back Daquan Evans and Safety Vincent Davis both had solid showings on the West Coast. Evans posted eight total tackles (five solo), Davis racked up six total tackles (two solo).
Quarterback Timmy McClain was 17 of 24 for 186 yards, but most importantly, the true freshman didn’t turn the ball over following a lost fumble in the first quarter. McClain has a bright future in green and gold.
Our staff photographer David Gold assembled an amazing collection of moments, finishing with 130+ exclusive images only available right here at SFB. We sincerely hope you enjoy flipping through the handpicked photos by David, he captures some captivating moments. We will also be rolling out our FAMU photo album soon, so keep your eyes peeled for the #SoFloDrip drop!
The Bulls host Houston (7-1,5-0) Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium with a scheduled 7:30 PM kickoff airing on ESPNU. #BeatHouston
