There has not been a lower point in USF football history than where our program stands now… Period. This will be a rebuild like no one has ever seen before. It was not this bad with Skip Holtz. It was not this bad with Charlie Strong. I’m grateful for the coaches and players that have poured their heart and soul into this program over the last three years, but this isn’t it. It’s not even CLOSE to being it. Hard-work and effort is fantastic, but this is a results-oriented business. You either win or you lose. There’s no in-between. It doesn’t exist. If you cannot win football games, no one wants to hear about how great the culture is. Culture means NOTHING if the results don’t follow suit. Renovating athletic facilities is cool. Brand new indoor practice facilities are nice. Potential on-campus stadiums are even nicer. But let’s keep it real. None of these things matter if you don’t win. Sorry, not sorry.
Credit to the players for continuing to grind. This team fought consistently this year and it’s credit to the players in the locker room, period
The message needs to change with a new coaching staff. This is a results-oriented business… — SoFloBulls (@SoFloBulls) November 27, 2022
It’s time to move forward. Bring in new coaches. Bring in a new mentality and mindset that doesn’t allow THIS to happen. Keep + bring in student-athletes that are DONE with losing. Bring in ballers that HATE LOSING WITH A BURNING PASSION AND HOLD THEIR TEAMMATES ACCOUNTABLE! Have the hard conversations with players that it’s either all in or all out. Anything in-between means that it’s time to look for a new program.
Being close in game is not good enough unfortunately. We need a coaching staff that is all-in on winning. We need coaches that coach with their hair on fire and do whatever it takes to win
The players will buy in. They clearly have heart. They just need direction — SoFloBulls (@SoFloBulls) November 27, 2022
Moral victories do not fill stands. Nor do they generate the revenue needed to allow USF Athletics to operate at a top tier level. Moral. Victories. Do. Not. Matter. The next hire is said to be announced at some point Sunday. Will it be Jamey Chadwell, Deion Sanders, or someone else? Regardless, USF cannot miss again.
