DB Jarvis Lee (IMG Academy)
Committed to the Bulls on December 20th, 2022, Lee represents one of three defensive backs added to the 2023 class with Tawfiq Byard and Kendall Dennis coming along for the ride as well. Via 247Sports.com, Lee was ranked as the 94th best cornerback in the class, garnering offers from Georgia Tech, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa State, Missouri and more during his recruitment. Lee spent time committed to Virginia and Georgia Tech before ultimately signing with the Bulls in December.
Run the Tape:
Great closing speed to the ball. Strong tackler that enjoys contact at the defensive back position. Good change of direction. Great ball skills who will compete with bigger receivers for passes down the field. Looks more than comfortable in man and zone coverage schemes. Enjoys press coverage calls where he can get physical on the line of scrimmage with receivers.
Mike’s Take:
I love seeing defensive backs that are versatile in the secondary. Jarvis looks the part of a nickelback that can cover receivers in the slot and/or step up as a run defender as someone that welcomes contact on every play. Furthermore, his sideline-to-sideline ability shows the potential of dropping Lee back as a free safety in a similar light as current Bulls safety Will Jones II. Nevertheless, Lee looks the part of a true freshman that can see the field early if he turns some heads during spring camp. Welcome to the Bulls Jarvis!
