USF Class of 2024 Chronicle: OL Braden Carter

It starts up front in the trenches!

OL Braden Carter

Welcome to our series chronicling the 2024 USF Recruiting Class! This series will breakdown every single recruit that signed to become a part of Head Coach Alex Golesh’s first full recruiting class. (Having a full year to put a class together.) Help us welcome OL Braden Carter to the Bulls!

OL Braden Carter (Forsyth Central – Cumming, GA)

Committed to the Bulls on December 8th, Carter is one of three offensive linemen committed to the 2024 class (as it stands now). Via Rivals.com, Carter received offers from UAB, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Stetson, Western Carolina and more during his recruitment.

Run the Tape:

Prototype size at tackle who has room to continue to bulk up at the next level. Moves extremely well for his size who will benefit offenses that like to get their offensive line moving. Great run blocker who positions himself well on blocks and will finish through the whistle. High motor who plays with a level of physicality that will earn him playing time early on in his career. Projects as a right tackle due to his ability as a run blocker but displays the necessary traits to move over to left tackle.

Mike’s Take:

I’ll tell ya, I love watching offensive line film from guys like Braden Carter… It doesn’t take much film to notice his high motor and physicality at the position which frankly are “must have” traits at the next level in order to be successful. Carter has the size and ability to dominate at the tackle position and I’ll be curious to see how he develops over time as the jump from high school to Division 1 college football is no small walk in the park on either side of the line. His ability as a run blocker is impressive and may cement him on the right side of the line, but the traits are there for Carter to move to the left side as well. Welcome to the Bulls Braden!
