The Bulls won 1 to 0 over Uconn last night in a tough AAC road battle. The victory puts USF at 6-6-2 (3-1) on the season and puts them in a three way tie at the top of the standings.

In the first half, the Bulls would score the lone goal of the game in the 24th minute from Melvin Becket, putting USF ahead 1 to 0 (assist to Ricardo Gomez and Lindo Mfeka). USF would go into the half down 3 to 5 in shot attempts, but had the lead.

In the 2nd half, the Huskies would push the attack but the Bulls would hold on and not allow a goal. The Huskies held the edge at 8 to 3 in shot attempts for the game, but Spasoje Stefanovic made one key save and the defense backed him up to preserve the victory. It was a tough fight, but USF hung on late for this one.

USF will next head to Memphis on Saturday night (game begins at 7 PM) in another key game as the Bulls battle to stay at the top of the AAC standings this late in the year. On to the next!
